i really enjoyed my time at the inn at st john. the breakfast had a nice selection of snacks and drinks, and the warm cider and cookies were a sweet touch! the location is just a short walk to the downtown area, and the option to store our bikes indoors was fantastic.
the dated interiors could use a little refresh.

Charming decor and a cozy room with a great view. Stairs for days, but totally worth it. The nearby shops are a delightful treasure hunt!
Stairs galore! It's like they really want me to skip leg day!

The staff provided helpful advice on getting around, which made exploring easy. I appreciated the access to various cafes close by for dinner. The coffee and snacks in the lobby exceeded expectations, creating a comfortable vibe for my stay.
The building has no elevators, making luggage handling a bit tricky. The room was small, which may not suit everyone, especially families or those needing more space.

I had a lovely experience where the night manager went above and beyond to help me with my luggage and even offered me yogurt when I arrived late. The place has a cozy vibe with comfy beds and a nice breakfast spread, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Just a heads up, the old building had some quirks like creaky floors, but it just added to the charm. 😊

The experience was delightful, with a cozy room and exceptional service. Enjoyed a generous continental breakfast with plenty of gluten-free options, thanks to the attentive staff. However, the external bathroom was a bit inconvenient, and the limited parking required an early return to secure a spot. Overall, the attention to detail and the inviting atmosphere made for a great stay.

Cozy stay with helpful staff!
We had a one-night stay and Tara at the front desk was super helpful! Our room had a mini fridge and microwave, which was great. The breakfast was okay, just the usual packaged stuff. The parking was tight, but we managed! Loved the cookies in the lobby and our streaming options. Just wish the bed was a bit comfier.

The Inn at St John has a lovely vintage charm. I enjoyed the stained glass lamps and unique decor around the property. The staff welcomed me with a friendly attitude, making check-in a breeze. My room had a cozy atmosphere, with a clean bed and private bath. The complimentary coffee in the lobby was a nice touch, especially in the morning. However, the shared bathroom situation was a bit inconvenient. It made things awkward at times. There’s no elevator, so maneuvering the stairs with luggage could be a challenge, especially for someone with a heavy bag. During my stay, I noticed some dust in the corners and wished for better cleanliness. Breakfast could use a bit more variety as well. Overall, I appreciated the historic feel and courteous staff, but there are definitely areas to improve upon, mainly consistency in cleanliness and bathroom access.
